Airside Driving

Authority to Use Airside (AUA) Permits

All vehicles operating in the airside area at Darwin International Airport (DIA) must display a valid Authority to Use Airside (AUA) Permit sticker. Before applying for any AUAs applicants are required to complete and submit an Airside Vehicle Indemnity and Release Form and provide evidence of Public Liability insurance for an amount not less than AUD $20 million to DIA.

An application for an Authority to Use Airside (AUA) Permit must then be completed and submitted to DIA for each vehicle that is required to operate in the airside area. Each application is required to be accompanied by a copy of current NT Vehicle Registration paperwork or a Mechanics Serviceability Inspection Report for non-registered GSE equipment.
